We only collect the data we need to organise your lessons. We never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

01

Who is responsible

Enjoy The Ride Sàrl, Route Touristique 17, 3963 Crans-Montana, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing of your personal data described on this page.

For any question about your data, contact Roxane at hello@enjoytheride.ch or +41 78 226 26 10 (also on WhatsApp).

We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where it applies to our guests from the European Union, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

02

What data we collect

We only collect what we need to organise your lessons and run the school.

When you request a lesson

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your postal code, town and country
  • The participants: first names, ages and level (often children)
  • Dates, activity and your message, which may include health information you choose to share
  • Whether you accept our terms and allow photos

When you book and take lessons

  • Booking details: dates, times, instructor and meeting point
  • Offers, invoices and payments
  • Notes from your instructor about the lessons

When you write to us

  • Your emails and WhatsApp messages, with your email address or phone number

Photos and videos

  • Photos and videos taken during the lessons, used only with your consent

When you visit the website

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser and pages visited, kept in the server logs for a short time
03

Why we use it

  • To answer your request and prepare an offer (steps before a contract)
  • To organise, give and invoice your lessons (contract)
  • To keep accounting records, as the law requires (legal obligation)
  • To keep you informed about your lessons by email or WhatsApp, for example reminders (contract)
  • To show photos and videos on our website and social media (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time)
  • To protect the website against spam and abuse and to count visits anonymously (legitimate interest)

Health information you share is used only to keep the lessons safe and is seen only by the people who need it. We send no newsletters or advertising, and we make no automated decisions or profiles about you.

04

Who receives your data

We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the school, who process it on our behalf:

  • Infomaniak (Switzerland): hosting of the website and our office software, email, backups
  • Google (Gmail): email
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business): our WhatsApp conversations with you; photos and files you send us by WhatsApp stay stored at Meta
  • bexio (Switzerland): accounting, offers and invoices
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile): checks that the request form is sent by a person, not a bot
  • Umami: anonymous visitor statistics, without cookies

Your instructor sees what is needed for your lessons, such as your name, phone number, the participants and the meeting point. We pass data to authorities or insurers only when the law requires it or to handle an accident.

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, in the European Union or the United States. We transfer data only to countries with adequate data protection, to companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on the basis of standard contractual clauses recognised by Switzerland.

05

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a booking: deleted after 12 months
  • Bookings, offers and invoices: 10 years, as Swiss accounting law requires
  • Emails and WhatsApp messages: as long as we need them for your lessons and questions
  • Photos and videos: until you withdraw your consent
  • Server logs: at most 30 days

Backups follow the same rules: each backup is overwritten after 30 days.

06

How we protect it

Our servers are in Switzerland. Phone numbers, addresses, messages and other sensitive details are stored encrypted, and only the people at the school who need them for their work can see them.

07

Your rights

You can ask us at any time, free of charge:

  • Which data we hold about you, and a copy of it
  • To correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • To delete your data
  • To stop using your data, or to withdraw a consent you gave
  • To receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format

Write to hello@enjoytheride.ch or send us a WhatsApp message. We reply within 30 days and may first ask you to confirm your identity.

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country.

08

Deleting your data

A

Send an email to hello@enjoytheride.ch or a WhatsApp message to +41 78 226 26 10 saying that you want your data deleted.

B

Give your name and the email address or phone number you used with us, so that we find all your data.

C

We delete your data within 30 days and confirm it to you, including the messages you sent us by WhatsApp.

We keep only what the law obliges us to keep, such as invoices (10 years), and use it for nothing else. Messages in the WhatsApp app on your own phone remain under your control.

09

Cookies and statistics

The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We count visits with Umami, which works without cookies and does not identify you. To protect the request form, Cloudflare Turnstile may store a technically necessary cookie.

The website saves some of its own files in your browser so that it loads faster and also works offline. They contain no data about you.

10

Instructors and applicants

If you apply to work with us or are part of the team, we process the data needed for the application and the employment relationship: contact details, qualifications, contracts, working hours and salary data.

Team members sign in to our office software with their own account and can receive notifications through their browser’s push service; these never name customers. Applications that do not lead to a job are deleted 6 months after our decision, unless you agree to us keeping them longer.

11

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our services change. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
