The walk everyone talks about
Upss is a St. Bernard with a big heart and an even bigger presence. Snow crunching under your boots, small hands buried in thick fur, children looking up at her as if she'd walked out of a winter story. She walks with the group, never says no to a cuddle, and gets more attention than anyone else on the trail.
Halfway round, we stop for hot chocolate. You don't think you need it until you're standing in the snow, cup in hand, watching the mountains turn pink.
Upss' Puppy Walk
Half an hour at the pace of someone who is two. Upss pulls the sled in short stretches and stops for cuddles in between. About as long as a toddler stays happy outside in winter.

Winter hike with Upss
A proper two-hour outing on snowshoes, well away from the pistes and the crowds. This is the snow Upss was bred for. Hot chocolate on the way round.

Minimum 2 people, so if you come on your own you pay for two. Everyone who comes along pays, whether they walk, watch or just drink the hot chocolate. Maximum CHF 160 per walk, whatever the group size.

How it works

Meet Upss
We meet in Crans, on the footpaths around the golf course. Time for everyone to say hello and get their hands into Upss's fur before setting off. All ages welcome, toddlers included.

The walk
A gentle loop of about 45 minutes on the snow-covered fairways and the paths around them. No rush, and as many photo stops and cuddles as you want along the way.

Hot chocolate
Halfway round we stop for hot chocolate and, with a bit of luck, watch the light change on the peaks. Upss collects her share of attention while the cups empty, then it is an easy walk back.
In memory of Tulipe
The walks started with Tutu, and ran for three years. She was so gentle that two-year-olds could hold her lead on their own. She shared Roxane's bed until Laurin came along and took her place. Upss walks the same paths now.
